AS 3740:2021 Waterproofing of Domestic Wet Areas 3.3.1: 3.3.1 Materials deemed waterproof

The following are deemed waterproof: stainless steel; copper of at least 99.9 % purity to material designation 110 or 122 of AS 1566; flexible waterproof sheet flooring with sealed and welded joints meeting AS/NZS 4858 (no waterstop is then needed at the general room doorway); wet area membranes meeting AS/NZS 4858; glass to AS 1288; and PVC meeting AS 3500.2.
