Although the facts of each case drive the response, the organization should set up a process for managing incidents. If a report shows physical safety is in danger right now, police and emergency services should be called and the emergency response activated (8.9). For a report under the policy judged not to be an immediate threat, the Threat Management Team should collect readily available information and carry out a preliminary threat assessment of the behavior or circumstances.
