The technical systems to be brought into the centre should be planned with adequate infrastructure: network bandwidth for current systems with spare capacity and room for large future growth, and connectivity to technical, business and communication systems, the internet and outside support; resilience through redundant systems, power, communications and workspace, since adding an extra operator position is far easier at planning stage than mid-response; and space conditioning so the centre can operate through power loss, connectivity interruptions, severe weather and other man-made or natural events.
