Until its IVTS reporting transition date (31 March 2029, or a later substitute date up to 30 September 2029 notified at least 10 business days before both the old and new dates by an entity that has been lodging IFTI reports), an entity reports international funds transfer instructions under the pre-reform section 45 and its Rules and exemptions instead of international value transfer service reports. Entities providing item 29 or 30 services for virtual asset transfers before 31 March 2029 cannot substitute a later date, and one that starts such services afterwards transitions on the day it starts. No IFTI report is needed if within 10 business days it reasonably determines the transfer will not occur and takes steps to stop it. The self-hosted wallet transfer report in section 46A does not apply to services started before 31 March 2029.
