Where a controller has published personal data it is obliged to erase under Article 15, it must take reasonable steps, technical ones included, having regard to available technology and cost, to inform other controllers processing the data that the data subject has asked for erasure of any link, copy or reproduction. At the data subject's request, online search engine operators must remove from name-based search results information that has become out of date with time but still significantly harms the data subject's reputation when found.
