The data subject may have inaccurate data rectified, and incomplete data completed, as soon as possible and within 30 days. Erasure is due within 30 days where the data are no longer needed, consent is withdrawn with no other basis, the data subject objects under Article 19(1) with no overriding grounds (or objects to direct marketing), the processing was unlawful, a legal obligation requires erasure, or the data were collected from a minor online under Article 8(6). Erasure does not apply where processing is needed for freedom of expression and information, a legal obligation or public task, public health, public interest archiving, research or statistics where erasure would defeat the purpose, or legal claims. The controller must tell every recipient of rectification or erasure unless impossible or disproportionate, and tell the data subject who the recipients are on request.
