Standards for Integrity and Independence: Standards 4 and 5 – ACCME Accreditation Requirements and Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education

ACCME Accreditation Requirements and Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education S4-2-3: Standards 4.2 and 4.3: written commercial support agreement executed before the education, and an accounting of support received and used available on request

What does S4-2-3 require?

The terms, conditions and purposes of commercial support must be written into an agreement signed by the ineligible company and the provider before the education begins; a provider may sign onto an existing agreement by accepting its terms, conditions and amount. The provider keeps an account of how much (or what kind of) support came in and where it went, and shows that account to the accreditor or the supporter when asked.
