AASB 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements
Objective, scope and general requirements for financial statements (paragraphs 1 to 40) – AASB 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements

AASB 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements 30: Keep presentation, disclosure and classification consistent between periods unless a change is more appropriate or a Standard requires it

What does 30 require?

How items are presented, disclosed and classified must stay the same from one period to the next. A change is allowed only where, following a significant shift in the nature of operations, or a review of the statements, a different approach would clearly be more appropriate under the accounting policy selection criteria in AASB 108, or where a Standard requires the change.
