AASB 136 Impairment of Assets
Measuring recoverable amount: fair value less disposal costs, value in use and the discount rate (paragraphs 18 to 57, Appendix A) – AASB 136 Impairment of Assets

AASB 136 Impairment of Assets 24: Carry forward the prior detailed recoverable amount calculation for an indefinite-life intangible only if its unit's assets and liabilities have not changed significantly, the prior calculation showed comfortable headroom over carrying amount, and events since make a shortfall remote

What does 24 require?

For the mandatory annual test of an indefinite-life intangible, the most recent detailed calculation of recoverable amount from a prior period may be reused in the current year only when all three conditions hold: where the asset is tested within its cash-generating unit, the unit's assets and liabilities have not significantly changed since that calculation; the calculation showed recoverable amount comfortably above carrying amount; and an analysis of events and changed circumstances since then shows the chance of recoverable amount now being below carrying amount is remote.
