Precondition (mandatory for certification). Outdoor hazards are managed: existing wood structures installed before chromated copper arsenate bans are identified (records, legal status or arsenic testing) and disposed of lawfully (not burned or chipped) or sealed with penetrating stains; outdoor bare soil is tested for lead with deeper sampling and replacement where above 400 ppm; artificial turf and loose rubber fill are tested and replaced above set lead levels; playground paint is assessed and removed or encapsulated above 90 ppm lead; and new soil, turf and rubber are certified below the thresholds. Parts: (a) Manage Exterior CCA Hazards; (b) Manage Lead Hazards.
