Victoria Child Safe Standards (2022) s30-32: ss 30 to 32 and 34D Answer notices to produce and notices to comply, truthfully and on time

A relevant entity, person or body given a notice to produce must provide the documents or information by the date stated (at least 14 days) (s 30(3)); a relevant entity given a notice to comply must take the actions specified by the date stated (at least 14 days, shorter in exceptional circumstances) (s 31(3)); failing to comply is an offence and attracts a civil penalty (ss 34, 34D), subject to reasonable excuse (s 35). Information, statements and documents given in purported compliance must not be known to be false or misleading in a material particular (s 32; up to 120 penalty units for a body corporate).
