Within 90 days of 3 April 2025 each CFO Act agency convenes an AI governance board (an existing body may serve) chaired at Deputy Secretary level with the CAIO as vice-chair, drawing in the offices for IT, cybersecurity and data, for budget and statistics, for legal counsel and privacy, and for civil rights and civil liberties, plus where relevant management, human capital, procurement, customer experience, programme evaluation and the programme offices implementing AI, and consulting outside experts as needed.
