US No Surprises Act (42 USC 300gg-111 to 300gg-139) and 45 CFR Part 149 300gg-114: Maintain an internet price comparison tool and telephone price comparison guidance for cost-sharing estimates by provider

A plan or issuer must offer price comparison guidance by telephone and make available on its website a price comparison tool that, to the extent practicable, lets an enrollee compare the cost sharing they would owe for a specific item or service from any participating provider for the plan year and geographic region. The transparency-in-coverage internet-based self-service tool at 45 CFR 147.211 is treated by the Departments as satisfying this duty where it meets both sets of requirements.
