US Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification (8 USC 1324a and 8 CFR Part 274a) 1324a(a)(1)(A),274a.3: Do not knowingly hire an unauthorized alien, and do not continue to employ an employee once you know they are or have become unauthorized

What does 1324a(a)(1)(A),274a.3 require?

It is unlawful for a person or entity to hire, or to recruit or refer for a fee, an alien for employment in the United States knowing the alien is unauthorized, and an employer who continues the employment of an employee hired after 6 November 1986 knowing that the employee is or has become an unauthorized alien violates section 274A(a)(2). Knowledge includes constructive knowledge: what a reasonable person would infer from the facts, such as an employee's own statement, a failed reverification, or a government notice. An employer may not avoid the duty by deliberately not examining documents.
