Contract language recommended by the National Cyber Director, and to be adopted in the FAR, requires contracted providers of internet services to agencies to adopt and deploy internet routing security technologies, including publishing Route Origin Authorizations and performing Route Origin Validation filtering, with requirements or exceptions for overseas operations and overseas local providers; until the FAR is amended, agencies are encouraged to include these requirements in new contracts.
