US Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSC) Manufacturer and Importer Duties PRO-EXP: Expect refusal of noncompliant imports and give 30 days' notice before exporting noncomplying products

Imports that fail to comply with a rule, contain a defect creating a substantial product hazard or lack a required certificate (or that lack required tracking labels, or come from a manufacturer reported for evading testing) must be refused admission, unless the Commission lets the owner modify them under bond and supervision; a person must notify the Commission at least 30 days before exporting a product that does not conform to an applicable rule (10 days at the earliest by exemption), and the Commission may prohibit the export unless the importing country accepts it.
