Import entry, filer access, payment and partner agency data through ACE – US Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) - CBP Trade Data Requirements

US Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) - CBP Trade Data Requirements ABI: 19 CFR 143.1 to 143.7 Qualify for and keep ABI access by meeting CATAIR performance standards

What does ABI require?

The Automated Broker Interface lets customs brokers, importers and ABI service bureaus (and, for the Importer Security Filing and other approved purposes, other parties) transmit data to ACE. A prospective participant submits a letter of intent committing to ABI performance and operational standards, with its systems, offices, contacts, software vendor, filer code and volume; approval goes only to applicants not delinquent with CBP. Participants must demonstrate and maintain transmission quality to the Customs and Trade Automated Interface Requirements (CATAIR); failure can lead to probation (after 15 days to show cause, up to 90 days), suspension and, for fraud, material misstatement or risk of significant harm, immediate revocation, each appealable. Service bureaus must keep filers' data accurate and confidential.
