A public accommodation takes the steps necessary to ensure that no individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated or treated differently because of the absence of auxiliary aids and services, unless it can show a fundamental alteration or an undue burden (significant difficulty or expense). Auxiliary aids include captioning (open, closed and real-time), video remote interpreting, voice, text and video telecommunications, screen reader and magnification software, accessible electronic formats and accessible electronic and information technology (36.303(b)).
