UNECE WP.29 R156 11.1: Inform the authority when production is definitively discontinued

What does 11.1 require?

If the approval holder completely ceases to manufacture an approved type it informs the approving authority, which notifies the other Contracting Parties with the approval form annotated PRODUCTION DISCONTINUED. The pending GRVA proposal ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRVA/2026/27 would add that production is not considered discontinued while the manufacturer intends further extensions for updates to registered vehicles.
