Where a direction is in force, the Secretary of State may require the provider to prepare a plan of the steps it intends to take to comply with specified requirements and their timing, and to provide it (and, if required, to OFCOM) within a reasonable specified period. Contravening this requirement carries penalties of up to GBP 10 million or GBP 50,000 per day (s.105Z19(4)).
