For large projects, projects with significant AI ethics risk and teams producing AI regularly, there is at least an Ethics Manager and an independent ethics assurance mechanism, which also check wider ASR aspects such as whether legal advice was sought. The Ethics Manager coordinates with quality assurance and safety managers and may be combined with an aligned role where competence and independence are demonstrated.
