VARA may grant licences with limits or time limits, vary, suspend or revoke them (for example for material violations, good cause, insolvency or an unpaid judgment after 30 days), impose further requirements, and charge non-refundable application fees and annual supervision fees per activity payable in advance (AED 40,000 to 100,000 application and AED 80,000 to 200,000 annual supervision per activity under Schedule 2), with risk-based surcharges; a suspended firm may not resume without VARA approval unless the notice allows it.
