Tonga Communications Act 2015 s168: ss.24(9), 168, 169 Keep records and answer the Regulator's information and investigation notices on time and truthfully

Licensees must keep specified records and prepare reports when ordered, and any person must produce documents or give evidence when served with an investigation notice, within the specified time; wilfully or grossly negligently giving false or misleading information is a contravention, privilege is preserved, and self-incrimination is no excuse. Disclosing the existence of an investigation notice before enforcement starts or the investigation ends is an offence. Anyone giving the Regulator sensitive information must supply both an unredacted copy and a copy with only the sensitive parts redacted.
