An employer or self-employed person eliminates a person's exposure to a physical agent where reasonably practicable and otherwise reduces it, so far as reasonably practicable, below the OELs in Tables 1 and 2 by combining measures from the control hierarchy, including engineering controls that eliminate or reduce exposure at source or modify the exposure route, keeping plant and machinery that generate the agent in good working order and repairing or replacing them when defective, and administrative controls that cut how many people are exposed and for how long. Exposed employees receive information, instruction and training on inspecting and correctly using the controls and on reporting control failures.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
