Solvency II Art.147: Arts 147 to 149 Notify before providing services cross-border and before changing them

What does Art.147 require?

An insurer intending to provide services in another Member State for the first time must first notify its home supervisor of the nature of risks or commitments; it may start once informed that the home supervisor has sent the host a certificate of SCR and MCR cover, the authorised classes and the risks. Any change to that information follows the same procedure. From 30 January 2027 a change in freedom of services business that materially affects the risk profile or host market must also be reported to the home supervisor immediately.
