Solvency II Art.100-102: Arts 100 to 102 Hold eligible own funds covering the SCR, calculated at least annually and monitored continuously

What does Art.100-102 require?

Undertakings must hold eligible own funds covering the SCR, calculated by standard formula or approved internal model on a going-concern basis, covering all quantifiable risks (at least non-life, life and health underwriting, market, credit and operational risk) on existing business and new business over twelve months, calibrated to a 99.5 percent Value-at-Risk over one year and allowing for risk mitigation. They must calculate it at least annually and report it, hold own funds covering the last reported SCR, monitor own funds and SCR on an ongoing basis, and recalculate and report without delay if the risk profile deviates significantly.
