Conformance, omissions and references (Application Guidance 2 and 6) – SASB Standards

SASB Standards SAG-2.0: Conformance means meeting the 'shall' requirements, with 'should' and 'may' as guidance

What does SAG-2.0 require?

In the standards 'shall' marks requirements, 'should' recommended but not required guidance, and 'may' optional guidance. The standards are voluntary to use, but disclosure is in conformance with an industry standard only if its 'shall' requirements, and the Application Guidance, are followed.
