Samoa Telecommunications Act 2005 49: Protect the confidentiality of communications; no interception except as allowed

Service providers take all reasonable steps to keep customer communications confidential and must not intercept, monitor, alter or modify their content except to trace harassing, offensive or illegal calls or as the law or sections 69 and 70 provide (49(1)-(2)); a customer may ask the provider to monitor calls to the customer's phone, or ask the Regulator to order it, and the provider then gives the Regulator the source numbers and times of the calls, which may be passed to police (49(3)-(5)).
