Countering financial crime (professional standard, 2nd edition) – RICS Rules of Conduct and Global Professional Standards

RICS Rules of Conduct and Global Professional Standards CFC-5.1.2: Enhanced due diligence where risk is higher; reporting duty survives simplified due diligence

Regulated firms must use enhanced checks wherever their policies, risk assessment or the law call for more checking and monitoring (for example a politically exposed person), with continued review of the client or transaction; even where simplified due diligence is used, members and firms must keep assessing transactions with professional judgement and report suspicious activity under applicable rules.
