Members and firms using AI with a material impact must tell clients in writing, before use, when and why AI will be used; their terms of engagement and other client documents must state when AI will be involved, in which parts of the service, how far professional indemnity insurance covers the AI use, where known, internal processes to contest AI use, redress routes for clients who feel harmed by it, and whether and how the client can opt out.
