Article 19: each Member State designates one or more digital health authorities to implement and enforce Chapter II at national level, notifies the Commission by 26 March 2027 (with a coordinator and task split where there are several), and gives them tasks including national technical solutions, information to the public and professionals, compliance of solutions with Chapter III and Annex II, supervision of the national contact point, implementation of the exchange format, where applicable market surveillance free of conflicts, capacity building, cooperation with market surveillance, data protection, NIS 2 and eID authorities; they have adequate resources, avoid conflicts of interest, act independently and consult patients, providers, professionals, consumers and industry.
