Queensland Property Law Act 2023 190-193: Assignment of debts and dispositions intended to defraud creditors

What does 190-193 require?

An absolute assignment in writing of a debt or legal thing in action, with written notice to the debtor, passes the legal right (section 190), with the debtor discharged if paying without notice (section 191) and equitable assignments preserved (section 192). A disposition of property made with intent to defraud the transferor's creditors is voidable at the instance of a person prejudiced, unless made to a person who became a party in good faith for valuable consideration without notice of the intent (section 193).
