Queensland Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997 SM-s162-163: Standard Module ss 162 and 163 Levying contributions and the notice of contribution

The body corporate must, by ordinary resolution on the basis of its budgets, fix each lot owner's contribution, the number of instalments and the due dates, and a special contribution by ordinary resolution where an unbudgeted liability arises; the committee may set an interim contribution limited to the previous year's level. Contributions are proportional to contribution schedule lot entitlement except for matters (such as insurance) allocated another way. At least 30 days before payment is due the body corporate must give each owner written notice of the amount, the instalment now due, the date, any discount, any late penalty and any arrears.
