Requirement 0152 (Part Five: Personnel, section 18.6.2 Security Clearances; applies to Authorised Vetting Agencies; dated 31 October 2024; retained from Release 2025): The Authorised Vetting Agency provides the Sponsoring Entity with information to inform a risk assessment if a clearance subject has an uncheckable background and only issues a clearance if the Accountable Authority waives the checkable background requirement and provides the Authorised Vetting Agency with a copy of the waiver. The AVA provides risk information and issues a clearance only if the Accountable Authority waives and supplies a copy of the waiver.
