The Accountable Official oversees implementation of the policy in the agency, including: aligning AI governance and assurance oversight with existing arrangements or establishing it where absent or insufficient; making sure responsible owners communicate the use case registration process to relevant employees, align the ICT acceptable use policy with Standard B and make AI literacy and policy training available; notifying NSW GovAI of suspected or confirmed AI incidents and coordinating post-incident review by the AI Review Committee when needed; preparing and endorsing the annual attestation for the Agency Head to sign and submit by 31 October each year; acting as the agency's point of contact for all-of-government AI policy coordination; and notifying NSW GovAI of the appointment and any change to it.
