NIST SP 800-167 Guide to Application Whitelisting 3.2b: Design the centrally managed architecture for placement, redundancy, reliability and interoperability

What does 3.2b require?

The solution architecture selects the devices and software that provide whitelisting, places centralised elements such as management servers within the network, and puts enforcement or audit software on every end user device, addressing component placement, redundancy, reliability and interoperability, since nearly all products operate as centrally managed solutions even when whitelists are cached on hosts.
