New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM) 18.3.12.C.02: Secure VoIP phone setup

What does 18.3.12.C.02 require?

Agencies should: have VoIP phones authenticate to the call controller at registration; switch off auto-registration of phones and admit only authorised devices on an allow list; block devices that are not authorised by default; turn off every unused and prohibited function; and require each IP phone user to have an individual login.
