An applicant must lodge, with the application, a quality plan for the product or method that sets out the procedures and resources for the product or method, names who is responsible for applying them, and is consistent with any supplementary scheme rules, and must give an assurance that the product or method conforms to that plan. For a tangible product the applicant must, if the registered product certification body requests it, submit samples that accurately represent the product.
