New York Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 1.15 Attorney Trust Accounts (22 NYCRR Part 1200) 1.15(e): Rule 1.15(e) Withdrawals: named payee, check or approved transfer, authorised signatories

Withdrawals from the special accounts must be made only to a named payee and never to cash, by check or, with the prior written approval of the party entitled to the money, by bank transfer. Only a lawyer admitted to practice in New York State may be an authorised signatory of a special account.
