Law enforcement and fire-fighting agencies and public utilities may record conversations on wire communications installed at their offices on facilities or listed numbers likely to receive emergency calls or requests for response. They may also record conversations they initiate from such a facility or telephone in responding to the original call or request, but only if they inform the other party that the conversation is being recorded.
