NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System PRT-4: Obtain exemptions for ineligible or atypical assets and apply optional exclusions uniformly

What does PRT-4 require?

Chapter 4: assets may be left out only with a National Administrator exemption applied for by the last business day of January for each reporting period, for ineligible assets or demonstrably atypical ones (not for absent viable metering, small size, separable mixed use, refurbishment, rating swings, varied hours, underperformance or low occupancy). Optional exclusions are limited: small office spaces (under 20 % of GFA in buildings under 5,000 m2, or under 1,000 m2 in larger buildings), shopping centres under 5,000 m2 treated uniformly, and atypical hotels grouped by type and included or excluded as a whole; the inclusion and exclusion list must accompany any publication.
