Lloyd's of London Cyber Insurance Requirements and Underwriting Standards B6: Stop using non-compliant (Type 7) clauses and let dispensations (Type 6) expire

What does B6 require?

Type 7 clauses (non-compliant or no clause) must not be used on any new or renewal insurance business incepting from 1 July 2024, nor on treaty reinsurance incepting from 1 January 2025. No new dispensations to use non-compliant clauses (Type 6) are granted and existing ones are not extended; each ceases at the end of its period. Syndicates wishing to keep offering what a non-compliant clause covered must develop affirmative coverage provisions, which Lloyd's will support.
