Direct prospecting by automated calling machine, fax, e-mail or similar technology using the contact details of a natural person who has not given prior free, specific and informed consent is prohibited. E-mail prospecting is allowed without consent where the details were collected directly from the person, lawfully, in the course of a sale or service, the prospecting concerns similar products or services of the same person, and the person is offered, expressly, unambiguously and simply, a free way to object at collection and in every message. Every message must give valid contact details for stopping further messages free of charge, and must not conceal the sender's identity or carry a subject unrelated to the offer.
