Part 2 D: Hiroshima Process International Guiding Principles for All AI Actors – Japan AI Guidelines

Japan AI Guidelines HP.RF: HAIP Reporting Framework participation (developers of advanced AI systems)

A reporting framework under which developers of advanced AI systems voluntarily check and report their adherence to the Code of Conduct was agreed by the G7 with the OECD and has operated since February 2025; AI developers who develop advanced AI systems in line with the Code are expected to take part. The guidelines record reported internal benefits (better coordination across trustworthy-AI teams, benchmarking of governance against international standards, clearer internal communication on governance structures, visibility of resource allocation across risk management), 25 organisations including 9 Japanese companies having responded as of March 2026; Part 4 adds that AI providers can answer most of the framework's questions too.
