Italy Workers' Statute (Law 300/1970) Art. 36: Art. 36 Apply collectively agreed conditions when receiving State benefits, public works contracts or public service concessions

Measures granting State benefits to entrepreneurs and specifications for public works contracts (and, per Constitutional Court judgment 226/1998, public service concessions) must contain an express clause obliging the beneficiary or contractor to apply, or cause to be applied, to its employees conditions no less favourable than those of the collective agreements for the category and area, during construction and for as long as the benefit lasts. Breaches found by the labour inspectorate are reported to the granting ministry or public body, which may revoke the benefit and exclude the offender for up to five years.
