Safety is the property of a system that, under defined conditions, keeps it from reaching a state that endangers human life, health, well-being, property or the environment, and AI can bring new safety problems (ISO/IEC 23894 A.10). For each identified interested party the organization should analyse the foreseeable benefits and harms tied to safety, for example: high-risk operation of the system; effects of changes to the system, including those made to fix problems or improve performance; and effects of known false positives, false negatives and other known failures.
