In documenting data quality the organization should consider: which data quality characteristics apply in the context; which quality requirements are met; the plans for meeting those not yet met; how a data quality life cycle is used in developing the system; and whether relevant interested parties have approved the dataset's use in the system. ISO/IEC 5259-1, 5259-2 and 5259-4 give the terminology and life cycle, the quality model and measures, and the data quality process framework.
