Collection fails where it alters content or metadata (active data changes easily when touched); where encrypted, password-protected or corrupt items are gathered without the means to read them; where chain of custody or provenance breaks, weakening the viability or accuracy of what is later produced; where over-collection drives cost or under-collection misses sources; where ESI sits in cloud services or social media outside the organization's direct control; and where residual data needs a bit-for-bit image of the whole medium, made with specialist tools by an electronic evidence specialist under ISO/IEC 27037, which is slow and costly if not planned.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
