Where several tools can do the same job, listing some or all of them helps cope with differing environments (for example write blockers with ATA, SATA or USB interfaces), provided this does not undermine the single-function nature of the process. The written process names the candidate tool group and states, quantified if possible, the risk each tool poses to its particular atomic functions.
