ICT recovery systems and critical data should be physically separated from the operational sites so the same incident cannot affect both, the location of every ICT environment should be taken into account, and non-production systems such as training or development environments can be kept logically separate from production so that they can be reconfigured to bring production services up quickly in a disaster.
